  2. Regarding minimum wage, send him this link with the message, "I can see how you see the minimum wage as helping, but after watching this, I think of it another way now". https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LLr5oWfoWRY# He's on the edge of trolldom there, but maybe showing him some empathy in face of his emotionally filled religious possession it's possible he could come to the light and divert the totality of his attention from wanking off and trying to make an argument at the same time to solely trying to make an argument. he's overloaded you with claims for a reason, because he cannot reason any of them. I recommend for you to read The Anatomy of the State accessable at mises.org written by Murray Rothbard. Thomas Sowell is a good economist to explain that the minimum wage doesn't work. Check out his work. Eventually you may want to check out one of the many editions of his Basic Economics books, or Economic Fallacies. Don't let him take you for too long a ride though and if you don't know how to respond, that's fine. Just say that you prefer to continue at a later time when you have more information. There's a danger into getting into an argument to prove yourself. As this man displays. He may not be interested in truth, but that's what you want.
  3. When I was 8 I thought that the past was all in black and white.
  4. ^Been listening to this quite a lot. I used to play Pokemon and liked it a lot, I'm just constantly thinking of this in my head right now. I listen to it during part of my workout, even if it doesn't make much since to do so.
  5. Yeah, he has a specific audience Glad you liked it! He has a large archive of good productions on his DarkMatter2525 channel, as well as some good videos on his other channel "DarkAntics"
  6. I'm subscribed to an atheist cartooner on YouTube that I think is really funny named DarkMatter2525. He's just released the last episode in this funny series on a crazy story in the Bible following the lore of the mighty and great Samson (Judges 13-16). The trilogy's end is hilarious, though the first two are pre-requisite. Pull up a bible on biblegateway.com to compare it side by side with the trilogy as you watch it and it's a good time. ;D collective length: 37 minutes Part one Part two Part three What do you think of DarkMatter/DarkAntic's work?
  7. The associate producer is the great-granddaughter of Freud.
  8. I think I see what you mean... but not quite. Lionel Curtis isn't as happy, though I'm sure he would look more like him if he let his face naturally sag. Danny Huston is getting closer, but I think I've found the man I was thinking of: Dylan Baker He has the furrowed brows, the lines down the sides of his face, the chin, and ears, and the same directionally parted hair. Both in suits generally. From IMDB: Hey, kind of like Lionel Curtis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRkCvubUGCM _______________________________________________________________________________________________ It still could be someone else I am thinking of, if anyone thinks Lionel Curtis most resembles another actor, post below
  9. http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/147188/Lionel-George-Curtis Look at the Picture in this link. There's an actor that looks near identical to him, could you identify the actor for me?
  10. Ah, I greatly appreciate you pointing out that I don't need to focus on the first half. I knew I was wrong, I'm glad my issue was much simpler than I thought. I didn't see the negation existing in "-less", maybe I interpreted it to mean "used less" rather than zero use. thanks to you both
  11. I have trouble understanding double negatives and I want some reasonable person to explain what is being declared in this sentence: from Thomas Sowell's "Basic Economics (Fifth Edition)" page 79: "...neither individuals nor businesses are willing or able to pay for everything that is not useless, when they are spending their own money." This might be a stupid question, but is this the same as saying "...individuals and businesses are not willing or able to pay for everything that is useless, when they are spending their own money"? This is how I interpreted it for myself.
  12. I think when they were younger their parents put the blame on other people for their own mistreatment of their children. So this lady grew up thinking that other people were responsible for her child's well-being. It's like a type of entitlement training.
  13. viewer discretion, depicts self harm - fake blood, a bit scary still. I find this disturbing, but funny. I will learn from this. The calligraphy of the product's name looked just like normal princess-y type of writing. To be honest, I might have made the same mistake, assuming it was foreign it could have even been some weird translation error. The mother did make herself an excuse, but I thought she was pretty much off the hook. We didn't see that she showed responsibility, regret, or empathy to her children for buying them something terrible, though. Maybe her kids didn't respond much to it, but I don't know. If you have children, please don't buy them evil sticks. What age of child is the toy suitable for- do you think a 10-year-old like the shop-keeper said? I kind of think that that's just some fucked up shit and the shopkeeper is a psychopath if he thinks any children or adult thinks that would be a fun toy to play with. I bet he'd keep them in his shop if she was the only one complaining, he seems like he'd do that, and looks like he kind of wants to. I was thinking of going into a Babys-R-Us to see the fucked up toys that are marketed to children actually earlier today, maybe that's what peaked my interest in writing this- anywho.. Wtf would you do if you discovered you sold some demonic device peddled to children from your store? What are some terrible toys you've seen marketed to children or have received?
  14. How is your friend's situation right now?
  15. I have trouble remembering my dreams when I am stressed. I keep a journal by my bed; I remember not remembering any for quite a long time until I started writing them out the past 9 months. Now I write so much and remember too much to put in words. I'm out of the swing of remembering my dreams because I haven't kept them for a week and I have journaled less in general.
  16. What was your parents' relationship like?
  17. I agree that it can be traumatic, but I also believe that shirgall has it right, when he says that the difference between teasing and abuse is contempt. For example, a therapist I am seeing mispronounced my name, which I thought quite disrespectful and angry at him for. I uncomfortably made a bad joke about it, and he did not laugh at the joke. He expressed guilt and regret, apologized and oddly went back into his office. And I said the joke manically, on the verge of contempt, and accepted his apology I think a bit contemptuously, "That's OK" with a smile... It's weird, I thought up the joke I used about what to say to people if they mispronounced my name that I used after our meeting on the way to see him that day. Psychic. My parents and sister teased me quite often and I agree that: This is why the joke wasn't funny, and I didn't think his apology was sincere: I don't really trust him. But to get back to what you said dsayers: If the person you are with, you can trust, and they make a teasing remark like what Robert exemplified, then your guard is down with that kind of a person, and you can self-reflect, instead of reacting like would be more natural if someone you didn't trust said that to you.
  18. Liked it quite well, appreciate the post.
  19. I enjoyed the episode, but not the circumcisions. I read that article. Good read.
  20. Lol. Definitely better lyrics
