  1. Yes. "My" refers to one of two different conceptual relationships. One connotes a relationship of origination or association, the other connotes a relationship of ownership or sovereignty. The first exists without agreement to the sentiment of property ownership, the second requires it. Who is responsible for the agreement and sentiment? Perhaps you are contesting that responsibility isn't the same as ownership. If so then isn't responsibility also agreed upon sentiment?
  2. So there is a MY without sentimental agreement.
  3. The claim of ownership is one of sentiment that is either agreed upon or arrived at by mutual agreement by all parties, or it is not agreed upon. It does not have an objectively correct answer. Is this your argument or a sentimentally agreed upon argument?
  4. Agreed. One's value and identity doesn't equal their virtue but virtue can be a part of that value and identity.
  5. Perhaps value is circumstantial. Height is an unchosen trait yet tall people have more value when picking groceries from the top shelf.
  6. I don't think you'll find that definition of morality on this forum.
  7. Given the danger that Clinton would have posed on world would you have supported any other candidate as a defense vote?
  8. Sorry I left out the part where we are forced to consume one or the other. The first one is spoiled milk. It tastes awful and will make you sick. The second one is cyanide. While you don't support either drink you can choose to start bootlegging your own moonshine but of course this will currently result in a stay at the rape cage motel. Your goal is to persuade enough people to design their own cocktails and be free from what's on the current menu. You have a far better chance of achieving this while puking then you would have from the grave.
  9. I remember seeing an old Benny Hill bit where he tasted something then rejected it. Then he tasted the second option and quickly grabbed the first one. As principled people we taste nationalism and culture but reject it as the sworn enemy of philosophy. Then we taste globalism and the demise of western civilization and quickly grab the first option. Otherwise we starve.
  10. Your honest and courageous post made my day. Good analogy however, makeup can hide health issues. Let's examine lipstick. Pink lips are a sign of health. If someone has dry pale lips it could indicate a deeper problem. Painting them pink won't remedy that problem.
  11. Voting for welfare also makes sense from an evolutionary perspective. I'm unable to compete in a free market but I can guilt people into funding my survival. The words "Make up" are descriptive enough. Make up for something that isn't real. I have no problem with anyone wanting to paint their face for some desired effect (I've been in drag as Christopher Walken's mother) but don't pretend that it's actually a part of what you have to offer as a mate. That would be the same as me using someone else's bank statement.
  12. I'm sorry it read ambiguous to you. I thought it was quite clear. You are free in your own mind. Isn't that enough? Why the need for others to see it? How has "human consciousness"(undefined) risen above the need for subjugation? Via evolution? Doesn't that imply necessary conditions for such change to occur? I asked you a while ago, why do you use this forum and not a North Korean forum to engage people. Both forums are operating in societies under government rule.
  13. Not permission to be free in your own mind but to have a forum to share those ideas. Big difference.
  14. You are interested in others being free in their own mind and therefor use this forum to express that. Stef and other Trump supporters are counting on his win to allow that to continue. Imagine that you're unjustly in prison and are planning an escape. The old guard was terminated. There are 2 new applicants for his shift. One of them has the reputation of being strict and watches your every move while the other listens to his iPod and is less concerned. To ease tensions in the prison the Warden allows the inmates to vote on the winning applicant. Now, you don't know if these reputations are true and you can't count on the Warden listening to the inmates and you already know that the prison is corrupt. Do you vote?
  15. Actually the one I posted is a spoof:)
  16. Is the lion superior to the dolphin?
  17. My understanding is that property rights don't exist. They are simply an accurate concept. 7x3=21 doesn't exist whether people are around or not but it's still true.
  18. Is assuming that a particular group is not capable of helping themselves, racist? Is assuming that a particular group with a lower IQ on average will not do well in the free market, racist?
  19. The question is how successful has it been and what is the incentive to behave otherwise.
  20. Welcome to the rational jungle:)
  21. What are the qualifications to be president? 1. Give the impression that you know what's best for millions of strangers. 2. Capable of coercion for the sake of qualification #1. 3. That uh, about covers it.
  22. I think the only barrier to state aggression is when enough people recognize and reject the inherent violence that comes with it.
