Ayn Rand a masculine(imposes order) sort of lady, in the sense in being high in conscientiousness, for instance interested in Engineering. Reality the imposition of measurement. "And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you." Came across the following passage by John Stuart Mill on Quora after searching for the Nietzsche quote. --------- it occurred to me to put the question directly to myself: "Suppose that all your objects in life were realized; that all the changes in institutions and opinions which you are looking forward to, could be completely effected at this very instant: would this be a great joy and happiness to you?" And an irrepressible self-consciousness distinctly answered, "No!" At this my heart sank within me: the whole foundation on which my life was constructed fell down. All my happiness was to have been found in the continual pursuit of this end. The end had ceased to charm, and how could there ever again be any interest in the means? I seemed to have nothing left to live for. At first I hoped that the cloud would pass away of itself; but it did not. A night's sleep, the sovereign remedy for the smaller vexations of life, had no effect on it. I awoke to a renewed consciousness of the woful fact. I carried it with me into all companies, into all occupations. Hardly anything had power to cause me even a few minutes oblivion of it. For some months the cloud seemed to grow thicker and thicker. The lines in Coleridge's "Dejection" -- I was not then acquainted with them -- exactly describe my case: "A grief without a pang, void, dark and drear, A drowsy, stifled, unimpassioned grief, Which finds no natural outlet or relief In word, or sigh, or tear." In vain I sought relief from my favourite books; those memorials of past nobleness and greatness from which I had always hitherto drawn strength and animation. I read them now without feeling, or with the accustomed feeling minus all its charm; and I became persuaded, that my love of mankind, and of excellence for its own sake, had worn itself out. --------- I think it comes down to framing or mindset, Aristotelian Carthesis. Why does a Lion kill a Zebra? Reason, because it's hungry. On a larger more meaningful scale it it is a question I'm grappling with. I mean there is the "Do what thou wilt"? But really, although values may be at the heart of taxation, questions for another thread.

You don't understand what's going on here, do you? If we stop now, we lose. This president has determination to wage a nuclear war until acceptable outcome is achieved. By Dawns Early Light. Damn straight kill them all, let God sort them out. -

"Vanity, definitely my Favourite Sin." - Devil's Advocate. The fear of being original(Nietzsche), so you hide your true self, through the people that have influenced you in life and not subject your self to some form of Ethics or religious education perhaps. Ever see the movie "American Psycho"(Think, Hilary Clinton) basically the main protagonist ends up chainsawing and killing several people. But his father and the firm he "works" at end up, covering up for him. Well there was all that shit, with Hilary laughing at mass murder, not being aware of her surroundings, threatening to nuke Russia and giving them a "reset"("mistranslated" as overload) button passing out, fits, etc on the Internet. Maybe some people will do "out.......rageous" things, hoping to be caught at some point. Could have been amusing though, there is the whole thing with tactical nukes, just a small one. I mean society is basically built on one huge bomb, why not light the fuse now, somehow, rather than later, I guess people have commitments, so just pile up the bonfire higher. Agreeableness and vanity, is what makes War possible, "Romeo and Juliet" comes to mind. Some people may not see mass slaughter as War, more like pest control. "This is not War this is Pest control!" - Dr Who -

Random, Random, Random... To screw his Mother? He never screwed Lois Lane and his father told him not to wind back time, just some BS about non interference in other cultures. The guy after all is "Superman" wears his underpants on the outside, has red boots like a child or Caligula(name means little boots, often wore red boots). "Wonder woman" doesn't exist to him because he is "Superman" and besides he'd just end up shafting "the invisible man." Wouldn't the Why depend on the context and direction of the plot, was listening to a youtube video about Carthesis(explored by Aristotle) and Oedipus(swollen feet). Riddle of the Sphinx(related to time). Krypton - Cryptic. Becomes drained of power when near home turf. "Kneel before Zod!!!!(sod)". -
Currently reading through "The Two Gentlemen of Verona"(Shakespeare) Not quite finished it, but, one of the two main protagonists "Valentine" and his servant "Speed" I guess are a particular sort of Badboy and "Proteus" the other Antagonist another. Maybe someone can suggest some literature on the topic of Badboy. Speaking of quality, what qualifies?

More men die in War. Genetically generally females win, if world doesn't go up in flames. Pride is a sin in Catholicism. If you are humble can you be a "ruler?" My answer would be no, though people may choose to follow your example. Woolly thoughts: Pride comes from passion. Passion is related to suffering, to act out of passion is to suffer for it later. To act out of suffering is to have passion later? "Forgive them Lord (pride, but kind of cancelled out presumably excruciating PAIN!!!!) for they know not what they do (passion)" or Stockholm Syndrome? She enjoyed eating the fruit didn't she? fruit; from to enjoy. Just had to pay for it with Delhi belly and then some or something. Equality is by definition boring, would be like near permanent sudden death sport matches with all the players having a heart attack simultaneously. Stale....mate. Christianity seems to speak more of equity. 1 Peter 1:20 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, I think the idea being as Stefan has often said that a large proportion of what he does is influenced, in his case by his mother. Though in the past, more of a caste system with people learning from their father or.. a father figure. The point being that though men or women maybe self-sufficient they are not entirely their own person. If such a thing were possible to not be swayed (egoistically) by another person what would that be like? -
I think of morality (as transcendental) that which is subjective and objective. Something like Islam is objective and morally absolute, in the sense, it values the spread of Islam above all, parts may seem irrational but the Idea is to take the Qu'ran as a whole (warts and all), "a Holy Book". UPB answers ethics in the negative sense in refraining from doing things. The real trick would be to provide a comprehensive positive affirmation of Morality. ...The why be Moral? Some woolly ideas that I have intuited from various material, involve the fact of increasing "consciousness" the only phenomena that actually seems to give life any meaning. The alternative is to follow baser instincts. Read through "The Tempest" (William Shakespeare) yesterday kind of a weird play, has people basically doped up on an Island. Imo because they follow for the most part, their baser instincts. Besides people who act immorally often end up drugging themselves imo, just look at famous politicians Kings and Queens. Can be alcohol, can be the Limelight, the effect I guess is similar, "Like a Moth to the flame" (also Shakespeare intrestingly, just looked it up, reading through the plays currently.) A rational proof that taxation is theft, why does the West have to import people when it has a hoard of beneficently gathered "contributions" to bestow on everyone foreign and domestic. Ponzi livestock scheme.

Rambo could retire them all, with a $20 Bowie knife. Then he'd probably shoot up the town. "I could have killed 'em all, I could kill you. In town you're the law, out here it's me. Don't push it. Don't push it or I'll give you a war you won't believe. Let it go. Let it go." Rambo First Blood. -
So, with values being objective, effectively people could trade in their baby for a better one (...or breed another, produce clones)?

Bad Boys Sparta - Yeah I remember documentaries saying they had their children before they went to war to replace any loses. Were much less flexible with their culture compared to other city states. K - Kill everyone, Scorched Earth or at least those who do not submit and pose a threat. Territorial, more stable. Businessman. Order. r - Better to be fucked than killed. Entrepreneurial, less stable. Chaos. Sack of Rome - Not a lot of happy paintings from the time, looked on Wikipedia said a lot of HRE soldiers died after the sacking from venereal diseases. An Example of a Bad Boy situation resolved When I was talking to a farmer in Portugal, who was a former shepherd. He mentioned that he was once a typical Bad Boy, was atheist and became Catholic. His wife was rather plain and I think her parents were landowners in the region. Anyway he mentioned that when his daughter was born he settled down, had quite a large expression of joy, kind of in contrast to when I mentioned the Pig sacrifice in Spain and saw the blood drain out his face, might have been wrong on the throat cutting I think he mentioned they stab it in the heart. I was helping out as he had done his back in. When I was cleaning out the stables he said to go slowly, which I did, was pretty surprised when he saw how much I cleaned out. Interesting to see how physiology plays out, I reckon I'm Norwegian Nordic mostly phenotype wise, broad shoulders useful for filling hay lofts and moving rocks. "All that glitters is not Gold" interesting to look at the wider context of the quote. Stoicism When listening to Marcus Aurelius Meditations, it mentioned thanking his mentors for not letting him fall into mindless sex with concubines. Apparently it was considered and still is considered, to be womanly to give into mindless lust, at least in parts of Asia. Finding a mate And thus we get to the heart of the matter. Often I have heard it said that men are predisposed to giving women resources. But is that always the case? I guess the vast majority of men on the forum are predisposed towards that. Although what if you're not, and to some degree the situation working the other way round. Perhaps a strategy could be reasoned out doesn't have to be perfect, but allow for some psychological matching if not entirely values based? Do the whole Big 5 Personality thing and try to infer where your type of girl/woman might be? High Conscientiousness - Intrinsically motivated. Low Conscientiousness - Extrinsically motivated. Do Good works for the community? Nooo, although as a side effect fair enough.

"She, a History of Adventure", mentioned by Carl Jung. Said something about the colours people wear and choose sometimes reflect their psychology. White masculine. Black Feminin. To me the following ideally would mean: White Wedding Dress (commitment), Black suit (acceptance), a Watch (High Conscientiousness). The colour Grey (High Conscientiousness), a spectrum of colours (low Conscientiousness) Also masculine men tend to use white, same with women, a feminin man would tend to use black like a beatnik. Personally I pretty much put anything on with not giving it too much thought, more utilitarian in thinking. I've heard a couple of stories of insanely rich accountants, with holes in their vests and they'll have an expensive piano.

There are significant Ethnic and cultural Differences in Spain. Northwest Galicia: Animal sacrifice, tie and suspend Pigs up at Xmas time, cut the pig's throat and make a blood sausage. Rains a lot. Dilapidated buildings and many aggressive dogs. Speak Galician. Celtic culture. Franco. K-Selected. Potentially Hyper violent, take more than fluffy bunnies to hold the Berbers back, unless its the white rabbit from the Holy Grail. North Castile & Leon: Don't know much about the region. Pretty Arid in some areas, though you have greener pastures near the mountains. North East Basques, significant independence movement, but I think they were bought off. Like Cider. Basque Language I've heard is radically different from many languages in Europe lots of X's in the Language. ETA. East Catalonia: Very high in group preference r-selected, economic pressure raising conscientiousness perhaps. leading to K-selection maybe? South: Don't know much about the region. Although there is likely massive income from the real estate market. I think the North being John Galt ville and the South being parasitical is not accurate, the architecture is apparently superior in some areas, though maybe that's just the major buildings. Plus a lot of people bring money into the region criminal or otherwise. Many of the moors were in addition Christians driven out from North Africa and not retarded on welfare Guardia Civil: Very well paid relative to other opportunities, plus many perks. Barracked. Tough. Highly conscientious. Probably draw a lot of recruits from North and Northwest. Told a farmer in Portugal that people would often volunteer to be Special Constables in the UK, was shocked that people would do it without pay. Literally zero police in some parts of the UK at times, same with Norway. (Powder keg cities)

@Wuzzums A Few quotes from Wikipedia on Prometheus "Further religious allusions are implied by the Engineers' decision to punish humanity with destruction 2,000 years before the events of the film. Scott suggested that an Engineer was sent to Earth to stop humanity's increasing aggression, but was crucified, implying it was Jesus Christ" "David investigates the cylinder and the liquid inside. He intentionally taints a drink with the liquid and gives it to the unsuspecting Holloway, who had stated he would do anything for answers. Shortly after, Shaw and Holloway have sex." I guess that if the Dune lore were included(machines evil as a fundamental truth), that would mean David would always, choose hurtful actions towards others that they implicitly authorised. Like the movie Wishmaster if you've heard of it. Effectively meaning David had no Freewilll, absolute morality. This would be the equivalent of the Absolute Morality of Islam, "Allah wills it" or Allah doesn't like you. Archetypal Figures Promethean(Ego-Deflation, Depression): Prometheus, Lucifer, Jesus Christ, Millennials("in general"). "Evil" Form: (as far as other's are unconscious of Evil in themselves): Seth, The Sith, Kain, Anti-Christ, David(Alien Covenant), The Demon(Frankenstein). Epithemus, (Ego-Inflation, Arrogance): Horus, The Jedi, Abel, Walter, Baby Boomers("in general") "Evil" Form? Satan? SJW, Virtue Signalling. High Conscientiousness vs Low Conscientiousness Was thinking how Engineers and Predators are opposite sides of the same coin (Neuroticism and No Very Low Agreeableness) Engineers: Baby Face, Favourite Colour Grey, Exterminate entire species. Settled. Predators: "You're One Ugly Motherfucker"(or tend not to shave), Cloaking device, Surgical Strike, if failure, nuke locality. Space faring. -
Catalans speak Catalan which I have been told and heard to some degree, more similar to French(though French people often can't understand, other French speakers too well, huge range in accents). Girona has a nice roman wall that you can walk along and the remains of a fort at the top of a hill. Their in group preference is very high, possibly the highest in Europe, lots of people live together in flats in the cities, as opposed to being spread out throughout the countryside. There are many Catalan communities in the Pyrenees Mountain range in France(possibly because huge numbers of men were killed in WW1, might have been there before then, as well though), funny they also have these ancient beacons on top of the mountains to warn of raids like in the LOTR movie. Economically the Capital of Spain Madrid was and is an economic disaster and it's construction contributed to mass starvation throughout Spain . Anyone one see "The Good, The Bad and Ugly"? Well yeah, it was built in the middle of a semi arid desert. Harsh environments also tend to produce tough men, in someways. Galicians (North west Spain, Franco's home region) have a lower in group preference and swear a lot. They like to make stock of their Gallic and musical heritage, lots of artefacts in the region. When I was in Guimaraes(Portugal, original Capital) They had lots of Gallic artefacts, a Sarcophagus(previously used to make "green soup"), very detailed stone pillars and an Idol to human sacrifice which I found funny (burst out laughing, a girl giving me a tour though thought I was laughing at her accent, was highly insulted). Lot of Germans in the Far south of Portugal like 50% in some places.

Interesting that you mentioned Santa and the Pope (archetypal father figures), although I guess they have come up a lot in Stefan's past and present Youtube videos. Ego consciousness. Egypt for example, the Pharaoh was God, there is no distinction to government. I think for a human being to function, they need basic aprioi bootup instructions. To have consciousness, some level of neuroticism "Winter is coming". Lampreys(look a bit like Gu'ald from Stargate SG1, if you've watched it) are related to humans and I think they have some form of genetic memory or archetype. Apparently a very sweet meat What's their origin(s)? I think with Christianity, whether the World is natural or super super natural, is besides the point. Metaphysically it seems to me Christianity is pretty fragmented. "There is One God Allah". The idea being to follow the teachings of Christ and suffer.. or not.... as he suffered(ideally learn). Similar to following the teachings of the Buddha. No pain, no gain. Not so keen, on the pain part. Communism, if only there were some more nice people like uncle Joe. Many people in the 3rd and 2nd world squat to take a dump, no throne room for them, posture wise more healthy, tribal people bigger booty generally. When I was in Norway I heard a story of Somalis shitting on the floor and using the wooden flooring for heating. Chair related to the word Cathedral. I think to comprehend chair, you need to be either highly conscientious to follow cultural norms and order (Germans hyper clean), or neurotic where you compare alternatives and "attempt" to avoid pain. Apparently I sleep walked once to the bathroom, answer questions have at least a basic level of conversation while asleep.

Looking on the Internet the etymology(origin) of the word tax comes from a meaning "to fix". Anyone here want to be "fixed"? What about a 5% fix? Build some giant death star and obliterate anyone who refuses to pay. "No taxation without representation." If there is going to be a tax those enforcing it should be accountable in someway. Separation of Economy and State. Regional Governors or Continental councils with their fingers in the pie. Looking on Wikipedia had an ancestor that hung himself after 1 day as Lord Chancellor, not the guy in the profile pic, other one served 19 years. Can anyone rationally prove that St Nicholas (Santa Claus) exists? Interestingly in the past and the present men dressing up as Santa often paint their faces black. Heard this in Catalonia, but I think it may have occurred in the UK as well. Black is generally a pretty feminin colour, usually not biologically sound to give presents to someone else's children, but there is a positive community affect. Kind of random, but in Catalonia they also have these figurines of the Pope squatting down to take a shit.

INTP...., but looking on the net at something called the function stack, with priorities of the personality. Introverted Thinking - Unconscious thinking. Extroverted Intuition - Pattern matching. Introverted Sensing - Recall of past information. Extroverted Feeling - What is the group doing. Did a couple of rudimentary Big 5 Personality test that I think matches with the MBTI of my particular result. Extraversion - Low (Introverted) Promethean (Forethought). Personalities Dominant with Feeling and Ex Sensing or Intuition more Epimethean. Conscientiousness - Low, Introverted Thinking. Openness - High, Extroverted Intuition, but could see how Ex Feeling or Ex Sensing could match with High Openness. Neuroticism - High, Introverted Sensing. Agreeableness - Very Low Feeling. Lowest on my function stack. Executives and Analysts possibly being very low in Agreeableness as well.

Issues with Anarcho-Capitalism, Part 1: Logic
RichardY replied to EGreg's topic in Libertarianism, Anarchism and Economics
@EGreg I have been listening to Stefan for a while and I have never heard him say that he is Anarcho-capitalist. I have heard him say that Ludwig von Mises Austrian Economics is the most accurate explanation of economics. The later Rothbardian Anarcho-Capitalism became subtly(or not so subtly) political and undermined itself. Stefan Molyneux & Jordan Peterson "When you have an Ideology, you become small relative to that Ideology." Property: Private Property (Capitalism), Public Property (Socialism), Property (Ethics) or the Annihilation of Property as a concept all together (Enlightenment or "True" Communism). The problem with the later is it is often associated/correlated with mass bloodshed, it does not necessarily have to be so. NAP: Is not the whole truth. I do believe that UPB however is a reasonable methodology for fleshing out Ethics. I acknowledge your point that is possible to influence a persons mind without them being aware of it to deleterious effects, through the unconscious (imo), I know I have heard Stefan say that he believes in the John Locke (Tabula Rasa mind) similar to Ayn Rand. I believe this is incorrect and go with a priori knowledge and "unconscious mind" though Stefan has used the term unconscious so perhaps disagrees with a priori part. Not sure if Immanuel Kant said this because I heard it on a Youtube video that when it boils down to it, what counts is a person having "a Goodwill" or special faculty. I know Nietzsche ridiculed this and Stefan has criticised this as giving too much authority to people in positions of influence, contributing to WW1. Milton Friedman: There was/is a video of him on YouTube(before he died) saying basically he thought the Federal Reserve and Central banking was garbage(corrupt) and Rothbard was essentially right with gold backed currency. The State: Given demographics(Personalities "Gene sets" and I.Q) Stefan has argued more for the nightwatchmen state recently, "Plato's Noble Lie". During the Georgian period there was often a regency council in the background, given the relative craziness of the Monarchy, though that was eventually superseded by democracy and corporatism. -
Kane and Abel, plus cultural references. *Spoilers
RichardY replied to RichardY's topic in Atheism and Religion
@Gnostic Bishop Hello welcome to the forum. Yeah I don't tend to read religious writing literally either, although I think there are various passages from the Bible at least that have psychological value. Started a thread a while go for helpful passages from the Bible after seeing a lot of criticism, like to flip topics sometimes. That Jordan Peterson guy has been interesting on Youtube, but not quite the same amount of variety as Stefan, although talking about the Big 5 Personality Traits rather than a focus on IQ has been interesting. Don't really know much about Gnostic Christianity(novice opinion, looks like a perverted playing out of Daoism) just what's on Wikipedia, though can see that Demiurge is a Phallic Symbol, so masculine,"our Father". Islam has a symbol of the crescent moon so feminin. "Demiurge." (Meat and 2 Veg) Just seemed to me that Abel was perhaps being a dick, to have his brother kill him out of the blue in the Bible. Being made aware that on the Internet that there was a Kabalistic version/story/fleshing-out "The Penitence of Adam" which I glanced at. Kind of like superhero comics I guess. I mean Caine is generally seen as the bad guy, but would that have been so in just the old Testament? I mean equitable treatment does get blown out, with mass reprisals, then the flood. Should Caine have been like Jesus? Looks like a good way of being shafted, guess that's one way of killing your spirit or not. "If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them." Luke 6:29 "because you're mine I walk the line" - Johnny Cash. "Hassan Chop" - Hassan. Personally somewhere between Hassan and Johnny Cash, though I wonder about concepts such as "Enlightenment", or "The Monad". In the case of the Monad, whether it is "a thing in itself" which provides freewill, consciousness(God) or an expression of the unified reaction between the conscious and unconscious mind(Magic meat interaction) I have no way of knowing, so I agree with Carl Jung that psychological dualism is a mature way of considering things. -
@EGregAt its base Anarcho-Capitalism: No rulers of capital, people can still develop communes if they wish. Empire: The Emperor as the Moral Imperative,(Imperator). Ways of structuring morality in society, in the absence of Ethics. Africa: If IQ isn't relevant then why didn't they develop roads and use the wheel?(Egypt and Carthage Excluded) Ownership: You can still have shareholders in an organisation, thus individuals owning a percentage of the company, buyers owning their Iphone. In Islam companies are supposed to be dissolved on death of their owners and assets given to the wives under Sharia. Patents are in opposition to ownership, only so many ways to crack an egg. So are you arguing in favour of Empire? If so, who gets to be Emperor? Both the Roman Empire and British Empire had previous periods of economic expansion and growth under a more republican form of government before they were Empires. Under the Spanish Empire the Capital Madrid was constructed in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula, which contributed to mass starvation at the time.

@JsbradsInteresting seeing additional lore, and symbology that goes on. Can infer things intuitively sometimes, seemingly not much interest in the topic. Might be imagining things, but did you mention something about Abel claiming the air, guess not much changes in siblings trolling one another.
