  1. Not sure I would agree. I have done a bit of backpacking in Alberta, although not a city council one of the towns I was in Grande Cache had it's share of corruption, zoning was done poorly(probably the ugliest town I have seen, in a pristine area) so the land with the best vistas had the industrial area built on it, the zoning was done by someone related to someone on the council. Town was also bankrupt(for example, $60,000 on a motivational speaker to do a talk) despite having a rich coal deposit that was exported to Japan for steel manufacture. Heard of similar things in other countries, even open corruption. When I was in Calgary I noticed a lot of property development, maybe might be a good idea to think about aligning interests somehow. It might help if you have a spouse that is charismatic, photo opportunities. Freedom and Accountability. Not sure, plenty of legal corruption that is possible on the accountability end. Stefan did a book The handbook for human or livestock management something like that. Maybe try to decentralise power, a lot of the smaller towns were decimated in population when logging quotas were brought in.
  2. So eventually without homesteading and Freedom. A small group of people could eventually acquire all the land by purchase or force doesn't really matter, maybe like in Ireland. The whole Pareto distribution thing perhaps. For example say an oil billionaire buys up large chunks of land in Texas or southern Norway, gradually adding to familial land holdings(Coneheads), maybe like bracken or a particular sort of tree that poisons all competition by denial of terrain, bit like placing minefields or the family favourite boardgame Monopoly. I guess in reality in the past when that was tried large landowners like Dukes ended up being inbred and often promoting from the general population managers of their estates. Sexual selection perhaps being a big factor in freedom long term, thinking of inbred middle easterners and in contrast the book Rob Roy " For why?--because the good old rule Sufficeth them, the simple plan, That they should take, who have the power, And they should keep who can. What will you do without Freedom? Uhhh Beer and TV............. No beer and TV OMFG#@?!!!!
  3. @Boss I placed Individuality above Ethics as a value, because you can still have an ethos under slavery or not fully conscious tribal communities(Eye for an Eye level perhaps), even if it's not universally preferable(The distinction being identification with a community). Before Ethics are my more conscious values or ones that I would like to try and embody, after Ethics are my less conscious values. Sustainability - Endurance Reverence Outlandishness Informative Depth Accessibility Synergy Thoughtfulness Resolute Open Minded Stewardship Reliability Thrift Decency Transcendence Wisdom Utility Frugality Independence Comprehensive Trust Toughness Guidance Freedom Longevity Legacy Simplicity Entertainment Relationships Acceptance Environment Effectiveness Wealth Curiosity Communication (Mastery)- Developing a Skill Resourcefulness Gentility Awareness Significance Economy Self-Knowledge Facilitating Accuracy Cunning Direction Philosophy Attentiveness Opportunist Credibility No Bureaucracy Adroitness(skill) Noble Seriousness Recognition Responsibility Exploration Preeminence Perceptiveness Impact Fluency Inquisitive Warmth Preparedness Merit Holiness Virtue Wholesomeness Meaningful Work Presence Adaptability Victory Liberty Initiative Belonging Learning Progress Positioning Discretion Originality Adventure Individuality Discovery Consciousness Global Poise Genuineness Thoughtful Correctness Wonder Contentment Reflection Faith Coordination Ethics Self Awareness Finesse Preliminary, so not embodied, logical and possibly word salad to some extent. Green= Extrinsic Values mostly.... Cyan= Intrinsic Values....... Yellow= Social......... @Mishi2 Sustainability, Endurance - "I want to exist from my own force, like the sun, which gives light and does not suck light." C.G.Jung. Moral Values - I know I was persuaded by the von Mises argument for laissez faire economics and society rather than "Taxation is theft" or UPB. My concept of honour and morality is more at the personal level, not the political(though it does factor in). Negative Value - "No Bureaucracy" Yeah I don't think a person can have negative values( even remember saying something like that months a go), but I saw it in a list of values and it was something that stood out to me. Might just be my low conscientiousness, going along stereotypes, but an expression in English is sometimes to call a person Teutonic(esp referring to Germans) which is derogatory, but acknowledges a person is very thorough, High conscientiousness. Probably should think on that one a bit more. Fluency - Maybe, I'm actually looking at going to Germany or definitely somewhere in Europe by the end of the month or early October. In the past I have used a site called workaway to look for places to stay. My plan is to fly into southern Germany then work my way south into France or Switzerland then end up in Italy. I wouldn't mind volunteering somewhere or working for cash in hand if the opportunity is there. I know there is a site called couchsurfing, but found the concept pretty weird, strangely a lot of girls do it. Other than that, slum it Hobo or refugee style, maybe not the best idea, but I need a bit of adventure. I plan to do a lot of reading, self-knowledge and philosophy.
  4. Reminds me of a former British PM Gordon Brown(The moron who sold the Gold reserves when they were around$250 per ounce). Was caught calling an old woman a bigot for expressing concerns of immigration. Gordon is a moron!, Gordon is a moron!, it ain't fair yeah yeah.......................

    Values

Sustainability or Endurance - To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities—I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not—that one endures. Nietzsche. But maybe just on a base survival level. Accessibility - Just to have stuff to hand and a place for everything, like preparedness. Stewardship - To have something I manage and grow myself. Wisdom - Some partially shielded experience of chaos. Trust - A degree of certainty to build on. Legacy - A mark on the world I guess. Environment - Just a generally pleasant environment. Mastery - The pinnacle of skill in at least one area of expertise. Economy - What do people value, how could I best serve. Direction - A form of plan and not just pure chaos, but also avoiding minefields. No Bureaucracy - Loath paperwork. Responsibility - One of those things where maximum responsibility is the mindset to have the most influence on becoming something. Fluency - In a European foreign language, mostly so I have options to travel more freely. Was wondering what values people have and how perhaps they go about ordering them? Here are 13 values of mine by priority, that I have or would like to embody. I omitted truth as a value as I take it as a default. I also have a longer list with Ethics at number 40. Another thought I had was in order to embody various values, perhaps the way to do that is not to aim at them directly which maybe a grind, but to do so indirectly. Sort of like if you want to look at the Medusa(Chaos), you use the reflection in your shield.
  6. Let us resume our inquiry and state, in view of the fact that all knowledge and every pursuit aims at some good, what it is that we say political science aims at and what is the highest of all goods achievable by action. Verbally there is very general agreement; for both the general run of men and people of superior refinement say that it is happiness, and identify living well and doing well with being happy; but with regard to what happiness is they differ, and the many do not give the same account as the wise. For the former think it is some plain and obvious thing, like pleasure, wealth, or honour; they differ, however, from one another- and often even the same man identifies it with different things, with health when he is ill, with wealth when he is poor; but, conscious of their ignorance, they admire those who proclaim some great ideal that is above their comprehension. Now some thought that apart from these many goods there is another which is self-subsistent and causes the goodness of all these as well. To examine all the opinions that have been held were perhaps somewhat fruitless; enough to examine those that are most prevalent or that seem to be arguable. Let us not fail to notice, however, that there is a difference between arguments from and those to the first principles. For Plato, too, was right in raising this question and asking, as he used to do, 'are we on the way from or to the first principles?' There is a difference, as there is in a race-course between the course from the judges to the turning-point and the way back. For, while we must begin with what is known, things are objects of knowledge in two senses- some to us, some without qualification. Presumably, then, we must begin with things known to us. Hence any one who is to listen intelligently to lectures about what is noble and just, and generally, about the subjects of political science must have been brought up in good habits. For the fact is the starting-point, and if this is sufficiently plain to him, he will not at the start need the reason as well; and the man who has been well brought up has or can easily get startingpoints. And as for him who neither has nor can get them, let him hear the words of Hesiod: Far best is he who knows all things himself; Good, he that hearkens when men counsel right; But he who neither knows, nor lays to heart Another's wisdom, is a useless wight. Nicomachean Ethics Book 1 Aristotle.
  7. Arsonist: Yeah I wouldn't say an arsonist is happy in burning down properties, more like enjoying bloodlust or Rage. 'And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer.' Diehard Happiness: I think ultimately you need some "purpose"(prosperity, constructive growth) to have the potential to be happy. Contentment: Perhaps more than being happy or joyful is just to be, and to not crave more for the sake of it, or something....
  8. Collective Guilt: Yeah in philosophy can't say it accounts for collective guilt, maybe it does somewhere? I agree with C.G Jung that there is a collective unconscious. It is strange passes like echoes, can see it when I was backpacking around Europe. A lot of it related to WW2 or perhaps further back. I mean I could see vending machines for cigarettes in Germany and Austria, which is strange in a way, because they tend to be high in conscientiousness and clean people. My theory is rather than deal with the immense pain of being firebombed and mass rape, many people chose to smoke. It maybe better to deal with the unfolding and repeating scenario currently and consciously, dismantle the state into smaller entities at least, empower the individual as Jung would say. Though who has the incentive and moral fibre to do so? Denial: So many seem to be in denial about how things are going, which is strange because I remember members of my family being more accepting of the problems of immigration, cultural change breakdown in law and Order when it was only a fraction of what it was, given over to hedonism, but not to say not hardworking. I think the problems have become so great, they've just gone unconscious, especially considering the costs of modern life in the West. I can not say that I am exempt either.
  9. I guess Identity is associated strongly with the Psychological trait Agreeableness(I score Very Low btw) in the Big 5 Personality Test. Northern Europeans score the lowest in agreeableness as an ethnic group. The Identitarians, from what I have heard they were a French group originally that formed in desperation in response to Mass Migration from the Middle East and Africa. If they are opposed to the affects of said migration, that is good enough for me. How exactly they are going to achieve self-preservation in the face of such insane numbers remains to be seen, I think there is only some semblance of a chance through succession. The Baby Boomers don't seem to care at all from what I have seen, though present company excepted from some members on the forum I guess. Ending the welfare state would seem to be the best option, option 2 would be a military dictatorship, option 3 I guess wait and see people will go home to Africa well, if Africa is pumping people out and the Middle East doesn't want more people, civil war.
  10. Passive-aggression is far worse, than active open aggression. I think because it is more on an unconscious level, take the Bible for example and the Disciples Judas and Peter Betraying and Denying Jesus. In the case of "Micro-Aggression" they are the cases of someone being passive-aggressive to justify their future behaviour, they may or may not be aware that they are being passive-aggressive, but they are usually not fully aware unless being malevolent. Examples of Passive-Aggression 1) Calling a Black manager at work "Boss"(without malicious reference to slavery..) and them calling you racist and demanding an apology. 2) Intentionally dropping crates of goods(and saying it was an accident) to pilfer the contents latter.
  11. Monism (One Substance) - Physicalism/Materialism(Magic Meat). - . Nietzschean Will to Power. No Ethics - Mind/Spirit (Pantheism) - Everything is connected to God and he's jacking himself off for kicks and giggles. No Ethics. - Pragmatism (Psychological Pluralism) - Magic meat, but since everyone acts as though they are a moral entity, even if it is a construction, that's enough for Ethics, even if it is a meme. Which makes me think, should anyone without a particular in group preference meme be killed as the most rational choice? Dualism - Can not refute God being everything(In this case Pantheism, Infinity) or everything being just Matter(Finite). So I'll accept both. "I think therefore I am". Having an "I" results in an infinite regress, from the Brain in a tank scenario. However, as the I is a fabrication of the unconscious mind(The ID) in my opinion, psychologically this leads to an interplay with the unconscious and conscious mind, a psychological Dualism. Alternatively perhaps there is some sort of Leibinzian Monadology going on with people being a physical projection of the thing in itself which in this case is God. So in Capitalism "he who has the Gold makes the rules.". In Communism(Inevitable according to Marx)there is not to be any rulers eventually, which is why you have different forms of Socialism (An Enlightened Dictatorship for the Proletariat). In Libertarianism, would the rulers effectively be Judges, Sheriffs or Vigilantes?
  12. A few points came to mind. But, I think the meat would be in figuring out exactly what Libertarianism is. "The Goal of Socialism is Communism" - Lenin and Marx Economical Marginal cost of production. Adam Smith. Classical Liberalism. Marginal Utility. Carl Menger. Austrian Economics, Libertarianism. Labor Theory of Value. Karl Marx. Communism. Socialism This person that the proletariat has "decided/been inspired by" is the most enlightened/fully conscious therefore they should set the rules provide guidance and authority, so that True Communism can eventually be achieved, for the good of everyone. (Seniority Based). Libertarianism Much more fragmented than socialism imo. Disputes between, Minarchists(Nightwatchmen), Left Libertarians (Libertines, ultimately communists imo), Right Libertarians(Traditionalists), and Anarcho Capitalists (No rulers of Capital.). OR just Ethics. Much of the debate seems to hinge on how Law and Order would be enforced, who's going to be the hangman or not. In addition will China invade Red Dawn style. A point Stefan has made is "how will the cotton be picked if slavery is abolished". "doesn't matter, what matters is whether it is moral." "If you want to stop slavery stop catching them". Looking at the term Libertarianism on Wikipedia. It was first recorded use was by William Belsham, who was associated with the Whig Faction in Great Britain. Seems to also be associated with Judges kind of interesting, apart from 18th Century Britain, Judge Dredd comes to mind. The founding of Israel in addition. I have read 2nd hand somewhere of Stefan suggesting the use of private dispute resolution services. Maybe the degree of responsibility involved in Libertarianism is truly horrifying to comprehend to many and hence Utopian Communism looks more pleasing, though it results frequently in Hell, Not an Argument, but seems true enough. Psychological Collective Conscious from Unconsciousness.(Socialists, "Enlightened") Communism. State of Perfection. Deterministic. No Responsibility. Collective Unconscious.(Carl Jung) Individualism. Freewill and Determinism. Responsibility. Subconscious, Full Consciousness.(Ayn Rand) Pure Freewill, Ultimate Responsibility.
  13. I don't often listen to Sargon of Akkad, though the guy's presentation is excellent. There was a video he did recently about trying to define an Identity, as he didn't like being labelled alt-right. In addition was talking about concerns of being permanently censored on Youtube, so was looking at doing meet-ups in London and alternative platforms. The charisma is there, yes, but a combination of qualities into some Ubermensch...... Ultimately there has got to be some real tangible incentive. Can see an explosion of comments from "alt-right" people on Youtube and looking at many Discord servers. The top of the pyramid and especially bureaucracy of wealth distribution can only be so large. If it's going to be musical chairs, maybe getting some competent non-genocidal people seated; non-Saudi funded, tycoons, Industrialists, Ideally with power to protect their local interests and legacy(and by extension the community) might be a good idea. Though a lot of multinational conglomerates owning the assets now, though someone has to run what is left locally.
  14. There are sweatshops already in the UK, paying below the minimum wage. Similar corruption in agriculture, "if" you're connected you can sometimes get around taxes. In Manchester, Primark(a low cost retailer) was purchasing clothing from sweatshops there. Had a German ancestor come to work in Britain in the textile industry pre 1914(now all gone). Steel manufacture gone, highest electric prices(tax) in Europe. @Goldenages Some children worked under contract in merchant houses, York being one popular place. Watched a BBC documentary about it called "Children of the middle-ages". An example of a contract mentioned no Drinking at the Tavern, no fornicating with the women of the house, no dice. Under pain of having the contract double from 12 years to 24.
  15. Well I think of Moses leading the Jewish people out of Egypt(possibly a warrior caste at the time). They stop over in the Sinai first. Reason, because when they get to the land of milk and honey it is populated with other peoples. So he waits a few generations to build up their numbers, massacres one of the tribes for worshipping the wrong Idol, men, women and children. To desensitise them to slaughter. So when they do go into Israel, they kick ass and kill successfully for the best spots(no throwing down towels). I guess the Charlton Heston version was a bit friendlier. Besides the A-team is working. Westerners are drugged in one way or another. Where as the perverted virtue Ethics of Islam still gives them some strength. I'm thinking that aesthetics is a higher priority then ethics. If you're drugged or psychologically corrupted, you still need strength to backup "your" ethics, general unconsciousness. See but do not perceive, hear but do not listen. @Crusader1986What's it like in your area of the UK?
  16. In terms of rarity, far rarer. IMO I think he is the only and by that best philosopher on Youtube or any platform I have seen. What are the alternatives? Other "philosophers" that do TEDx talks imo are all bought and paid for through the state and suck(where is their up to date Youtube channel?). Came across like one other guy, a highschool teacher Gregory B. Sadler, but doesn't have the punch of Stefans presentations, talks, research, current affairs etc and is reliant on the state, probably better to read philosophical texts directly.
  17. @plato85 I think more than arguing is to have your value structure(priorities) in order, maybe they are, extrinsically and intrinsically, crystallise with journaling. A sharpness of purpose. For bare bones there is Ethics and UPB. But integrity and virtue Ethics(aesthetics) takes precedent imho over UPB, I guess "Peaceful parenting" goes someway towards this. The whole Aristotelian mean and building of character. Picking battles and having discipline previously instilled. Apart from some sections of the military and religious orders, how can a person go about instilling discipline? One of the points in UPB being how can you have a debate or discussion, if you don't value truth. (The whole not arguing against UPB without affirming it.) It would make any talk deceptions, assertions or commandments. Debating does suggest though, that people don't have a totality of truth(Hubris). Some people don't even acknowledge the self as an absolute, but the fact that people act as though they have a self, belief or not, UPB still accounts for this. It would be interesting to have a look at Stefan's new book and see if it mentions anything about aesthetics(which is an Art right?).
  18. I tend to go with classical definitions or the Etymology of the word(Inflation; A change in prices. Classical Inflation; A change in the money supply). Except in the case of, "Gay", like in the Flintstones. Which strangely is a word people seem to acknowledge its change in significance. "When you're with the Flintstones. Have a yabba-dabba-do time. A dabba-do time. We'll have a gay old time." I kind of think the point is not to orientate yourself with the Flintstones, but to make sure your language is consistent as possible to the nature of yourself as a moral person in the world, teleological(becoming) if you're sane. Though Ontology(being) seems more appealing to me, in a bit of a knot myself.
  19. Some time ago Peter Schiff mentioned the same thing in a talk with Stefan Molyneux on Bitcoin.
  20. Anyone read Meno by Plato? or know any good works on virtue? Maybe it would be interesting to contrast with Nicomachean ethics. If virtue is objective then it can be taught. Maybe the more fundamental question is why be good? Virtue is profitable. What would the opposite of virtue be? In my opinion depravity. There can not be one without the other. True Knowledge vs True Opinion. If I know what I do is virtuous am I virtuous? Where as if my opinions are True, am I aware of what I do, though I maybe seen as virtuous. Truth as a mode of being. "Socrates: Now then, let me try to tell you what shape is. See whether you will accept the following account: shape, let’s say, is the one thing that invariably accompanies color. Does this satisfy you, or do you want to go about defining the term in some other way? For myself, I would be satisfied if you defined virtue in some such way as this." Meno In an Absolute Tyranny, virtue is impossible. NAP If values are subjective and aggression(predation) a value to some people then the NAP is also subjective. There is a part of you that values aggression or you are a lamb to the slaughter, the point being, ambiguity whether you are threatened or not and whether moderated aggression may often be appropriate(Listening 45 minute into the Gulag Archipelago illustrates this.) Also if you state you value the NAP, then a person could use that as leverage to attack and gain the upper hand. Love is the involuntary response to virtue. "A response." What about love being just given? "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Matthew 7, 6 Virtue vs power? Virtue is sustainable, power is reliant on Virtue or Depravity. Virtue: Involves; rarity, strength, vulnerability, Manliness, imposing order on chaos.
  21. So Kane is a Farmer and Abel a Herdsmen. One day they decide to make a sacrifice to God. God looks favourably on Abel's offering and on Kane's he did not look favourably. Kane annoyed asks God Why, God Replies that Sin is at his door. and that if you do well shall you not be rewarded and if not desire is your master. Later Kane talked with his brother in the field, then killed him. Then the Lord said to Kane where is thy Brother- I know not: am I my brother's keeper. What have you done, your brothers blood cryeth from the ground. and now you are cursed from the Earth that received your Brother's Blood. The Earth would have given you Strength, now you shall be a fugitive and Vagabond. Then Kane said to God, My punishment is greater than I can bear. I have nothing to depend on and people will kill me. OK fair enough, who ever kills you gets 7 times the pain. And here's a Mark so people will know. So Kane went East of Eden to the Land of Nod and built a city. Kane's decedents built a civilisation with Technology and their own laws to make life easier. Then God decided to wipe them all out with a flood. But saving the Hillbillies. What if Abel was letting his goats on Kane's part of land that he was farming and eating his crops, sounds like an infringement of property rights. Kane even had a word with Abel(so it was premeditated murder, though maybe there was a concept of an afterlife for people?), I mean the parents were probably dopey growing up in Eden lying naked and eating fruit all day as well. On the other hand Kane should be protecting his crops from pests, maybe kill some of Abel's goats instead. It would be easier to pen a few goats then Hundreds of Acres of land with primitive strains of cereals. I guess Kane could have been a herder as well and reeked havoc on neighbouring tribes. All said though Kane didn't really have what he desired in order though (didn't think through consequences and ideals). Even if Abel was a dick, letting his herds eat Kane's crops. Interestingly I looked up the etymology of Abel and it means Vain. I got the idea from reading Frankenstein that the Mark of Kane is Wisdom Teeth from her description of the demon and it's explanation of only requiring a coarse diet to survive. Also 1) Because Kane is a farmer, therefore he needed the equipment for a coarse diet. 2) Because Wisdom implies knowledge of good and evil. 3) Because dental records provide identification. 4) Not everyone has Wisdom teeth. Could be a squiggly mark though(google search), kind of looks a bit like an inverted Jawbone with teeth at the back, stretch of the imagination though. 7 also seems to have some significance culturally. Some additional thoughts Prometheus (Forethought, Kane) 2 Offerings to the Gods. Bones glistened with Fat (appealing but barren). A stomach with meat inside. (unappealing, but with hidden reward). Fire, sometimes related to desire. Epimetheus (Afterthought, Abel) Alien Covenant So a group of colonists are going to a new world, unconscious they are woken by a solar flare damaging the ship. Once they fix the ship they receive a transmission of "Country Roads" and information about a new planet that looks more immediately habitable then the one they are going to. All of the colonists except the Christian decide to break their covenant and head for the greener pastures. Anyway they find the planet devoid of all animal life, but with cultivated vegetation. Later in the movie you find out that David the android from Prometheus wiped out and mutated all animal life on the planet with a mutagen from the first film. Presumably because imo, though the film leaves this ambiguous, the species on the planet related to the Engineers contributed to the death of his friend Elizabeth Shaw and he felt he should mutate, perhaps killing them, to try and make them more conscious. Kind of an Ozymandias vibe about it. The Aliens themselves are not violent, but the colonists attack them, provoking them to attack back. At the beginning of the film there is also a reference to David's development growing up a kind of Oedipal complex also expressed in the Story "Frankenstein The Modern Prometheus". Where the creator Dr Frankenstein invests so much time in creating life that when he finally does, he is jealous of it and rejects it. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Koba(Kane) also a mix of tubal Kane (Weapons artificer) Caeser falls from the city walls, reminiscent of Romulus throwing Remus from the walls and founding Rome. Also that Caeser and Koba weren't raised by Apes, concurrent with Romulus and Remus being fed by a she Wolf. In the Film Ceasar kills Ash(Abel) in a Similar way, as well.
  22. I think anger is generally a constructive emotion, something is wrong I'd like to fix it. So teenage rebellion if it involves anger is fine. Contrasted with something like rage or resentment(Both more unconscious) can be be genocidal, as seen in all major conflicts and again in Europe.
  23. A few thoughts on "The Road to War with North Korea." 1:55 "I think it's fair to say that we should take whatever they say with a fairly significant grain of salt."- Cry Wolf Afghanistan, Iraq, 3rd time Lucky. 2:12 "now I have referred to the leader of North Korea as crazy"- I disagree, he is insane(unhealthy), not crazy; sanctioning several family members and entire communities. 2:40 "North Korea was founded as a communist country which means two things fundamentally one of course is its materialistic its atheistic there's no dangling of rewards in the afterlife to drive people to truly self-destructive behavior it is the afterlife ideologies that are the truly dangerous ones because there's less immediate survival rational calculation and more unpredictable there's not a lot of North Korea suicide bombers of course so the fact that it's a communist country means that it's more prone to rational calculation although of course not moral" - Would Christianity or Islam be considered an Ideology, what would? How can someone found communism, it's accepted or it's not? The Suicide rate is pretty high in Japan and Korea. 3:40 Hermit Kingdom. - "Technically North Korea is still at war" 4:00 Threats of Nuclear attack - Is Switzerland included? or a S.American country? 4:50 Espionage, and accumulated secrets. - Plagiarism is dangerous and effective given high enough IQ. Beware of wisdom you did not earn. 6:53 Thousand of Nukes pointed at N.Korea - One good one as the saying goes is all you need. 12:00 "the USSR certainly has been gone for decades and what the 26 years now so anyway it's just one of these things they they just do program start they don't stop there never rationally evaluated because there's no free market that punishes people for inefficiency in government programs" - Why efficiency and not effectiveness. Sledgehammer or Scalpel to kill. Which one has the greater finesse. Besides if they are unaware of what happend to the last lot, how are they to judge(ie value). Logan's Run. 12:50 Manufacturing future conflicts, Nuclear reactor to Nukes. High Intelligence. - Why would the Korean leadership(wolves) see nothing but contempt in this and justified in doing any harm they wished to Decadent Western countries. 14:00 "it's quite a long time and North Korea has not war launched any war to retake South Korea they'd like to of course" - Still at War. 14:20 "it's not like there hasn't been opportunities for North Korea to try to retake South Korea" - Obsolescent of Hardware: Battleships(high firepower) < Carrier (Flexibility) < 1 Anti-ship Missile < Bioweapons < Blackhole implosion device (Total Annihilation) 14:40 Internal military coups in South Korea. What if Kim 33 years old, holds onto power long enough to develop bio-weapons say a 30 year plan. 15:30 Nuclear weapons. Yes they are defensive against other state powers yes. So the power goes to internal control, does not disappear. 17:15 Here's a nuclear reactor and conventional fuel. - Think of the children.......... 19:15 I mean this incompetence this megalomania this idea that other countries other cultures around the world are these chess pieces that you can just move around they have no will at their own days I mean this is a psychotic view of the world in my opinion now as far as what should happen now I mean the idea that you're just going to do some airstrike that's going to take out the new capability of North Korea when they've had at least a decade to scatter and plan for all of this I mean I don't think that's like you don't like I'm no Military expert I mean I can give some general principles and philosophy I'm good at but it seems a ground invasion would be monstrous - I think it is essential, even if Japan gets nuked again, maybe Tokyo, I don't think they are best friends either. They didn't learn the first time around. It would be congruent with Empires always fall though. 20:22 "I don't know what should happen immediately, philosophy is really around the prevention of problems at the beginning" - John von Neumann developer of H-Bomb and Universal Constructor architecture, argued for the use of the H-bomb against China.(Wikipedia) 21:30 "Everyone is Hitler." Will other democracies continue to pay bribes to N.Korea(Maybe for various blackmarket services.) and ignore any agreements or advice Trump made at the end of his term? As the Germans ignored Bismarcks Best of 5 Advice(Great Powers be 3 vs 2). 25:15 "Interventions and the Asymmetry of warfare."- Scorched Earth. Why wouldn't you burn down an entire area like in monoculture. The Nukes are not the primary threat. 27:00 "Two Important lessons. 1) Government control destroys the economy." (it's not irrational, short term time preference) it's going to fall on its own. I think I can repeat myself it is going to fail. If you want to be patient..." - Why would you bother trying to control Socrates, just learn his stuff have him killed or better have the general people do it. I think von Mises or Rand made the distinction between DeFacto and DeJure Control. 28:50 "Just read your von Mises." I have read "Human Action" and some of "The Theory of money and credit" plus articles on Mises.org. I know in Human Action Mises did not refer to Japan as a free market economy and more than that he mentioned some of the cultural developments that had led to a freemarket had not been archived. He even said Socialism could be achieved but it would be stagnant and initially reliant on setting prices to a capitalist economy. 29:00 "And the second is Empires collapse." - would the Emperor of Japan be an exception? 30:50 "until we master the fundamental sin of vanity of pride of megalomania of narcissism, the idea that other people are these inanimate objects to be moved around serve our own political or grandiose whims this cycle of history will never stop and that's what philosophy can offer the world the cessation of this grim and dismal cycle of history." - What if the population is just kept separate "Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil". The sin of Pride is wrong in my opinion plus Aristotle & Rands. I would say Hubris instead, falling in love with ones own rationality."Cry Havoc and let slip the Dogs of War." I think to be truly narcissistic you have to be unaware that you are doing it. Why go full Nuclear arsenal when you can go Biological? Everything else can be rubbish. -"We need one gun, but a good one" Stalin. referring to multi-cannoned tank development. ("Battlefield" on Discovery). The Title is a reference to a Star Trek episode. I think it would be in the Top5 - Nuclear weapons as defense, necessity of attack, lack of information, Romulus(North Korea) Remus(south Korea). Vulcans(Japanese). Romulans(Korean).
  24. @GatoVillanoYeah Far East Asians(Korean, Chinese, Japanese) tend to keep to themselves and integrate eventually. Just found it weird that the far east Asians congregated(Though Chinatowns...) in Vancouver although given a few decades I could see that changing with the Internet spread of the English language and Culture. Contrasted with East Asian (Pakistani, Indian, and Muslim Asians.) They have more arranged marriages and less integration. When I was flying into Edmonton the Indian guy I was sitting next to on the plane didn't know what the word citizen meant on the visa form(though he was legally a citizen...). Many East Asians can just marry into Canada and do not necessarily speak English well. Lot of space in the middle of Canada I would move there legally if I could, still better than Europe.
  25. Not Sir, would have to bump probably 20 odd family members off(could be a State School teacher, less appealing) and not related to Rowan Atkinson aka Mr Bean. Killing Bob or him helping in another way? They weren't kidnapped many were professional volunteer soldiers(TA) part time had a Great Grandfather(50% German, massive guy) who was a RSM, have the parade stick. Many men volunteered, I think another Great Grandfather of mine volunteered, but was rejected because he was a skilled whitesmith machinist. Large capital stock to maintain in the UK at the time and shortages of munitions at the beginning at Least on the British side. Heard my grandmother say once or twice that her father the RSM had suicide pills for her and her sisters in case the Germans invaded in WW2. On the French side, wonder what they are playing at, I mean they invaded the German states twice, obsessed with looking good in their swanky fashion. Drugged on booze. "Never did I speak German, not even under the torture." There are a lot of WW1 cemeteries in France and they take it very seriously, though the migrants are probably crapping on their graves, christian crosses and all. So maybe not so serious. There was another kid some time a go whose parents basically told the NHS to go fuck themselves and smuggled their child(later survived) out of the country to have proton beam therapy in the Czech Republic. That recent case was a baby with mitochondrial DNA problems or something.
