Did God err in making Adam ruler over Eve?
Jsbrads replied to Gnostic Bishop's topic in Atheism and Religion
I am capable to resist, I just would not choose to exercise that capacity. The point of Life is to evolve beyond our last failure. If we can master that, we will truly be free. also Elizbaeth, slow down, yes Eve did what she did, but Adam is somewhat complicit, he was right there watching the snake convincing Eve and he never tried to stop her error. Additionally, man and woman are two parts of the same whole, so even if Adam were less complicit, he would have made the same error Eve made had the roles been somehow reversed, tho his error would have been related to male traits similar to Eve’s error being connected to female traits. His inaction to admit error to Eve while the snake was engaging her sounds like something men do today (women too perhaps, because in some things we can be very alike). -
I agree, murder is bad I do not agree murder is the same as killing.

Did God create man as a sinner? Or is it humans after the Fall who are born in sin. Still innocent, but with a tendency bequeathed to us by the first man who failed?

GOP Tax Bill Not so Great for Business Owners
Jsbrads replied to Dylan Lawrence Moore's topic in Current Events
Increasing the money supply always creates inflation and devalues the currency. It should be noted, many kings tried to do this in the past too and it has always failed in all those cases too. There is one distinction: Governments can inflate the currency by printing small amounts of excess currency and then the damage is less harsh on the populous. Read Schiff. can you buy a lunch sandwich for 45 cents today? Why? -

Libertarians for Trump? and.. the immigration debate.
Jsbrads replied to jrodefeld's topic in Current Events
Also, free movement in the US means the immigrants can travel anywhere and commit property crimes, sexual assaults, murders... We also have amnesty looming ahead, and these people when given the opportunity, will vote to violate your property rights further thru government. Freedom to leave: The North border is still open. Civil Aviation. Boats... -

Issues with Anarcho-Capitalism, Part 1: Logic

Smarter, I’m not sure what your argument is. There are people who do want to burn the world down (Vegas shooter). As individuals those people have limited ability. Those same individuals can attain government power and do far worse damage (Nazi Germany). -

So you are admitting inflationary printing disrupts the value of fiat currency? Although under Obama, the major countries agreed to match Obama’s inflationary policy to hide his behavior, he still devalued our currency. -

I’m not sure how you plan on isolating US currency from the global currency market, but even if you did. Fiat currency is still a store of value, printing would dilute that value. -

#8 is bad. I live in CA and by protecting my tax expenditure at the state level, you are actually encouraging me to raise local taxes higher and displace Federal taxes. Printing of fiat currency has destroyed every single country that has tried it. Weimar, Zimbabwe, etc. And he in the US, when we increased Federal spending during the Great Depression and under Obama more recently, it slowed the economy even tho Obama didn’t raise taxes until after he was re-elected. Is there a source you are quoting? Or is this your theory? -
Roy Moore is not a moral problem even if the age of consensual interaction was younger than you are used to in modern culture. Harassing behavior is immoral. There is a definite line between prepubescent pedophilia and postpubescent pedophilia. We in the modern world accept that interactions with teenagers is very frowned upon and illegal, but it is more indicative of a badly socialized awkward person, not evil. A hundred years ago, 15 yr old girls marrying was not uncommon, 16 yr olds marrying was quiet common, a short time prior, 14 yr olds marrying was not unheard of. My friend’s great grandmother was formally married at 12, but lived with her husband at 13 (he 14).

I spoke with a psychiatrist I know. He directed me to one organization, they rejected me as a patient, but they did guide me to another organization that accepted me. Sometimes life isn’t easy.

The idea of American Dream is easily taught. It just hasn’t been taught in public schools in almost 50 yrs. -
You are all wrong, cellular precursors were created near volcanic activity, so the real origin of man is in the Pacific Rim where we emerged from under the water to conquer the planet.

3953 The Immigration Debate | Adam Kokesh and Stefan Molyneux
Jsbrads replied to n25an's topic in General Messages
The federal borders are private property jointly held by US citizens and we jointly agree thru our representatives to bar access to noncitizens almost always. We never try to stop noncriminal US citizens from departing federal borders and associating with anyone they want, they just would rather not die to random cartel shootings in Chihuahua, Mexico, and if it would be alright with you both they and I would rather they not be shot in Yuma, AZ, thank you very much. -
3953 The Immigration Debate | Adam Kokesh and Stefan Molyneux
Jsbrads replied to n25an's topic in General Messages
The whole argument is based on practical reality or ascribing to an untested moral theory without any practical consideration. Jos Van Weesel, the Feds already screen out criminals and only permit noncriminals (I am not claiming they do that perfectly) but I’m guessing you are okay with borders preventing violent felons? Even the post screening immigrant population still has more criminality. I understand the moral argument that by limiting someone entry that you want us to presume innocent, but not the practical consideration. The Bill of Rights applies to US citizens, and we US citizens consent to presume innocent the other 300 million US citizens. We do not presume 7 billion people are innocent and risk our safety and finances to guard their freedom and we know they do not consent to reciprocate. -

How to Explain Implications of DACA to Normies?
Jsbrads replied to Will 001's topic in General Messages
There are 7 billion people who would move to the US right now if you grant any benefit to them or their children. -
Murder is always bad. causing the death of someone else in your own defense is killing. You may argue killing is always bad, I wouldn’t. It is the simplest of ethical math, allowing yourself to be murdered is a greater wrong than killing someone in self defense.

A very common reality observed by Medved, is that areligious people of a given faith in the US, eventually become more religious after a child is born and they start thinking about how to raise a child. Im guessing you wanna be pretty sure your spouse isn’t going to be teaching your children the glories of the dark one once the kid reaches five years old. I am very concerned about winding up with a Leftist. If they express something in a profile, I’m done, but if they don’t, then I try to get to know them better as opposed to quizzing them on whether or not we can date.

Children need boundaries, attention, affection every day. I think our society gets too busy, work too many hours and abandon our children in front of the “TV” too often. Absolutely agree that many teachers in the public system are horrible. But if a child has the right home environment they can survive some pretty shitty adults for short times. I had a horrible 2nd grade teacher, my mother pulled me from that school on the second week and placed me at a much better school a week later.

In a state of anarchy, there was a simple common stone that could easily be fashioned into a “hand ax”. No shaft, just a stone, one side for holding, and with a significant quantum of work, the other side was formed into a stone blade. These work improved stones were used as currency. https://www.livescience.com/18751-hand-axe-tools-money.html
