  1. I'm reminded of the following (a kind of hierarchy of needs except, as in previous posts, one of the main goals is to peacefully raise more intelligent people): http://izquotes.com/quotes-pictures/quote-i-must-study-politics-and-war-that-my-sons-may-have-liberty-to-study-mathematics-and-philosophy-my-john-adams-302658.jpg
  2. An observation: Just as the separation of Church and State should not also mean separation of ethics from politics (according to the Deist Framers), the separation of Church and Art should not also mean separation of meaning from form (referring to mind/body;Apollo/Dionysus split).

  4. I've thought this might be the case as well, and it relates to the second part below: That's right, the latter, enemy-of-my-enemy kind of ally. The previous [thread] started with the title "Stefan's constant decay into outright conservatism", citing Trump's rising popularity, patriotism, conservatism, and self-righteousness. Speaking very generally: Whereas, Christians indoctrinate their children, they believe in the separation of Church and State; Whereas, Trump supporters still support government, they believe in the Bill of Rights; Whereas, Patriots support national sovereignty, they believe in defending Western values; Whereas, if allying ourselves with the above, and other such groups of individuals, will serve to ultimately provide the foundations from which to better promote a stateless society, whether through participating in the voting ritual they highly value or otherwise, would it make sense to make an offer? (Presuming, of course, that Armageddon is not the more effective environment for promoting laissez-faire, et al.) Again, it doesn't have to be through voting, yet that is what they want; is there a way in this, or in some other manner (such as promoting the values we have in common and/or the facts supporting their effectiveness), where our goals align?
  5. Indeed, and if no one sanctioned the initiation of force, then we could use our energies much more effectively toward the endeavors of our choosing. I can't argue for voting on any moral grounds because it will ultimately support violence against those whom disagree, even you and me; there are no "line-item" elections or negotiations after the fact (it's not a free market). I am aware of the voting-in-self-defense counter-argument, though there will likely still be collateral damage against an innocent third party. I can't argue for voting on any practical grounds because I don't know if a Trump administration would ultimately just prolong the status quo and/or discredit laissez-faire, that a complete collapse is necessary; maybe enough has been done already to allow liberty to fill the power-vacuum left behind? Maybe we don't even need allies?
  6. I agree. I'm referring to what you stated about the goal not to be governed at all. It sounds like you do intend to be governed, by your own will -- self-government without a state (rules without external rulers) -- I'm guessing you would agree with the division of labor based on the free will of each individual; likewise, that under such ideal circumstances there is no need, indeed no moral foundation regardless of need, to enforce one's choice(s) on others. As stated in the linked podcast, we're coming across new information and should reevaluate. Not voting can be a way of abstaining from legitimizing the state, and in the short-term can provide one with the confidence of knowing that their actions are in line with their beliefs about the immorality of the government and/or an aversion to making a choice where the consequences for history are unknown. In the long-term, voting can be an exchange, a token for an alliance with those groups of individuals whom at the very least value free speech and Western values, even if they have their inconsistencies; give them what they want and they will be more likely to listen to you, for if you want to proselytize you'll first need rapport. P.S. There are other ways to build rapport than voting, though if what they say is true about mass migration and the demographic collapse of the west, than this might be the last election for a pro-West candidate? Absolutely. Reminds me of: http://cdn.playbuzz.com/cdn/4032f864-56be-4802-a4ef-13d313c10fa0/440d162b-fb63-45a9-81bc-4c7dfbaeae44.gif
  7. Ideally, individuals would govern themselves while voluntarily delegating some areas of their lives to the governing of those with superior knowledge/skill/reputation, no?
  8. I've heard the term "crisis actor" used; not too dissimilar from hired protesters?
  9. Another theory regards the subconscious communicating with the conscious and vice versa; in your case, if the dream is an observation than it would likely be the former, whereas, if it is a lucid dream than it would be the latter.
  10. Precisely. And likewise, you'll find a similar dynamic wherein the other person can either take offense or play back, albeit to a higher standard than casual vulgarity. Edit: (Here, "higher standard" refers to an aesthetic preference, if the exchange is voluntary.)
  11. I came across a similar theory that Denmark has origins (at least etymological) in the Tribe of Dan, as well as a theory that variation between humans could be based partially in the inter-marrying of Neanderthals and Homo-Sapiens (and/or other humanoid species). As it is a taboo subject, it is not easy to find conclusive evidence.
  12. Do you have a link to the statement's context?
  13. Welcome! Do you have a Soundcloud or other online portfolio of your performances?
  14. I noticed many of the comments referred to the widespread nature of the post becoming viral as another proof of its legitimacy... social pressure?
  15. I wonder if one can be so politically correct that it is no longer politically correct to be politically correct...
  16. My pleasure. Learning more about different types of capital, I came across this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_capital Fertile Capital (Fc) can be converted to other, perhaps more stable, forms of capital too; for example, starting a family may reduce Fc, but increase Social Capital (Sc) for the future. Also, "pulchritude" is one of those words that sounds like the opposite of its meaning...
  17. Coltaine did an interesting three-part analysis on this and how it relates to the bigger picture of gender relations:
  18. Other than anthems in general (and La Marseillaise or Let Freedom Ring/God Save the King in particular), it might be interesting to examine music which did not start political, as in the Ode to Joy or the Beautiful Blue Danube.
  19. I learned recently that Trump has run for election before (in 2000): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_presidential_campaign,_2000 (Interesting tidbits include the prospective cabinet section and the legacy of Ross Perot.)
  20. I'd also add that providing the example within yourself can fertilize the seeds you plant from the questions you ask.
