The Anarchists's Guide to Voting
luxfelix replied to jpahmad's topic in Libertarianism, Anarchism and Economics
[Followed from https://board.freedomainradio.com/topic/47257-trump-fascination/page-2]: The quote, "the play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the King" comes to mind. If this helps to communicate to people in a way that straightforward logic fails, then perhaps there is value in meeting our audience at the theaters of their choosing, to perform to their hearts where their minds have gone numb? -
It could be a good idea to use this debate to frame the key discussion points for the general election, and since both Sanders and Trump share the idea of America first (albeit different versions...?) and are running as anti-establishment candidates, it will be easier to do so without Hillary there to participate; it would turn the debate from a 1v1 to a 1v2, especially if Trump gets Sanders to participate in using the debate as an opportunity against Hillary.

Aloha! I'd guess whichever video you think will hold your friend's attention best (shorter ones or topics particularly interesting to them); you could even select a specific portion of the video to prompt a discussion. (Maybe one about Bernie/Hillary?) If they're vehemently resistant, at least you'll have planted a seed. (You'll likely get a hint fairly soon as to whether they are open to reevaluating the information or if they are digging mental trenches.)

Fertility and Offspring Quality

I wonder, if Epigenetics were widely known, would people become more likely to make healthier lifestyle choices? -

I recognize Weston A. Price's name from another thread on this forum debating an omnivorous vs. vegetarian diet. -
The last one stood out the most (sincere nanny government). Though, if the characters in the video went through the effort to raise their kids peacefully and take self-reflection as seriously as presented, I'd imagine the government would be widely believed irrelevant (using the entrepreneur section beforehand instead). Yeah, I've heard of art/science museums (and even national parks) becoming a kind of secular temple, complete with relics and pilgrimages to promote certain values and teach about natural laws. As far as free market competition, I'd bet modern art museums would rapidly lose value for exhibiting works such as "the canned detritus of the artist within different states of mind" (etc.)... My pleasure!

what does this dream mean?

It sounds like you may already have your interpretation. I'll throw this out there and see what sticks: The mice are there to help. The first group of mice are an indication of past confrontations; cataloged, though their purpose was forgotten (yellow ~ corruption?), the army of mice from the bathroom come to clean up the rest like white blood cells with an infection. The initial apprehension gives way to calm, not unlike the recognition that a fever (translation: confrontation?) can be a part of the healing process. The two mice left behind are similar to the memory cells that stand guard with the knowledge of how to defeat the infection should it come again -- an inoculation of sorts. (The dirty clothes are the remains of the defeated infection?) After convalescing, the holes underneath the vanity are an invitation to imitate the example of the mice when you awaken (to clean yourself and environment/you alone are the only one that can?). -
I've heard this used as a description for the contradiction of anarcho-communism; something akin to anarcho-statism.

Charity in the 19th century

It might help to look at how many libraries were built by Andrew Carnegie (or other public buildings by the industrialists of the age) as more prominent examples, while also looking up how homesteading societies (travelling into the wild west) and the early insurance societies helped one another. -
Iceland often pops up on the radar when researching historical examples of libertarian-esque societies (something about free-market law chieftains and the Icelandic Althing?). What's this now about Iceland and the Panama leaks?

I've read a bit about Tolkien's libertarian-minded Shire, but nothing else comes to mind. I've noticed that a lot of fiction uses monarchy nostalgically, such as fairy tales or chieftain monarchies like Avatar. (If everyone were a monarch then I suppose that would be another name for anarchy. ) Edit: That's excluding the common perception of a dystopian anarchy. I found this upon a cursory search: https://www.reddit.com/r/voluntarism/comments/44e1l0/tales_of_voluntary_societies_free_anthology_of/
