In the case of say someone assaulting you, I would say it gives a reason to suspend their individual agency, both for the person being assaulted and other people. If someone is stealing your property, I would say you have reason to take it back and defend it proportionally. "The glass dropped itself", when in fact, it was dropped by something or someone else. Yes that sounds correct, I say it is partially due to what a person is taught as they grow up and learn through others Or through more overpowering baser instincts. I think living "The Good Life".(also an old TV series) Is due to not being influenced by or causing corruption. "Stick with those who think like you, avoid those who don't." I think being with people who have ethics as you do, or are open to Reason and 'crucially' Evidence, is a way to go. I think it is important to talk to people who think differently.

I don't know what the approval rate would be, approval is not a basis of justice, even if it is the basis of a Democracy. I'm not an American, but as an Englishman I can speak with experience from being in an area of England with the highest amount of immigration up until the migrant crisis. To put ratios it into perspective Boston is 50% Polish speaking. Spalding another local town is 30% Polish Speaking, Peterborough the fastest growing city in the UK(Eastern European, Muslims, Home counties) had a primary school with 0% native speaking English children sometime a go. I'm ambivalent to Eastern European immigration, on the one hand I would be liable to do the same for a better standard of living. Plus that fact large numbers of Islamists want to saw people heads off, so the groups balance one another(though a good chunk of the former would probably move back).... On the other-hand it externalises cost onto the future and present through debt, slavery, pollution, de-industrialisation, communication, legal costs etc.. I think Stefan mentioned the total prison of France was 60%+ Muslims. Millions of pounds in large equipment agricultural theft in the UK, a neighbour down the lane had a lawn mower nicked the person left it in a field. Personally there is no one I care about. But still, maybe I might in the future and life is creativity. Actually thinking of where I could move to easily and continue to subsist, if only because things are getting more entertaining. Yeah it is kind of creepy/sexually suggestive, but it is still an Entertainment show that people like to watch, highs and lows. But he is being honest, even though it may detract from his power in politics. The Clintons aren't exactly known for being aboveboard in sexual and violent behaviour. Rape, affairs, defending child abuse etc. Either Trump or Clinton would have been interesting. Hillary: May well have started WW3 with no fly zone and shutdown censor alternative media as she talked about(as in Europe). Trump: With Trump things are more on a knife edge, personally if anyone could prevent absolute chaos it would be him. If I were American I would have voted for him.

"TRUMP! AHHHHHH KING OF THE IMPOSSIBLE" A comment on a Flash Gordon music video Youtube. (5 months ago) Anyway as the commenter went on to say, basically that if N.Korea develops say SATAN II missiles, undetectable by Radar. In my own words Kim could launch a first-strike. "Heil KIM!!!(Ming)" For the Koreans not killed by radiation. If they give into blackmail that just makes the corruption worse and Evil even more possible. I mean the Koreans like their Starcraft(National Sport). Plus they're the "purest humans" on the planet. Perhaps they already tried a civil war situation in N.Korea. Maybe Kim has just the "happy centres" light up from killing, even family members. A maniac or someone experiencing laughter would perhaps have the pain and happy centres light up, just speculation.

The truth can get you killed, but so can lack of truth. "We've decided" I think some of the conflict involves the unconscious. ""A cellular peptide cake, with mint frosting.""Kills them, Kills them before its too late". I wonder how much that Korean fellow listens to Evidence "You gotta give him credit"(Trump). "I want the Truth!""You can't handle the Truth!"

"Porn-modern"? Lot of talk of Nazis, Dogs, Fascist, Fairies etc; kind of dark imagery

Was listening to Will to Power on Youtube and the passage of the lion tamer came to mind.

They forfeit a degree of Individual agency when they commit evil acts. Besides "making" Evil people Good(refraining from "Evil Acts", which depend on context) would be violating "freewill".

1. What's wrong with being prejudiced? 2. If Mexicans cross the border illegally they are by definition criminals in that respect. 3. The Hillary campaign brought up the Birth Certificate originally, when they ran against Obama. It does not favour crony capitalistic practices to discredit a potential collaborator. 4. Minefield. If there are no consequences, there is no law. Even if something is legal like alcohol, it may not be safe, physically and especially emotionally. 5. As Trump is a fairly old guy I could see how that could be creepy. If he was 30 and doing an Entertainment show would that be seen differently? 50 Shades of Grey(Never read it), perhaps.

I didn't notice an argument for no objective reality, only questions and comments. If you quote it, I'll have a look. Reality involves measurement, limits and therefore mirroring and division of an entity(biological significance(replication)) subjectively chosen. "Man is the measure of all things." Existence is subjective; dependent on sensory experience. The mind has the capacity for objective reality and existence; through the mirroring of behaviour, development of Ethics, language and cultural objects(eg.. Cult of Pythagoras, Sacred geometry). Ayn Rand was known to confer with the Austrian School of Economics about the "Subjective theory of value"(a subjective reality/Praxeology). Reason is biological.

"All morals principles of power." Instead of power, truth might(not sure) be a better word. One conceals oneself in presence of the unfamiliar: and he who wants to attain something says what he would like to have thought of him, but not what he thinks. ("The powerful man is always a liar") The Will to Power, Friedrich Nietzsche.

"Evolution was always going to create man, and man was always going to create god (technological singularity as teleology of universal medium). Backward causality just speeds up the process by acting on the past to jump start the process with "miracles". Monism Originally: If man was always going to create God, then wouldn't there have been a non dualist universe originally(monist), with non independent spirit and therefore no concept of Morality or Ethics, how would man or other lifeforms emerge from such a scenario and then create god? Chicken(People/Lifeforms) and the Egg (God). So would people how would have people conceived/invented a God in the absence of Ethics. I guess your answer of outside the timestream is one that makes sense, I was thinking that if we live in a monist reality then do ethics really apply, people not being independent in a monist universe(predetermined). Reminds me a bit of the sci-fi series Stargate SG1 and "Origin" (Not the best, poor acting and corny). Emergence of Independent minds (Dualism): There are many other worlds out there so I guess it would be possible to have life on other planets. But just for life on planet earth I wonder what point an organism would have to reach to have an independent mind, I mean does a snail have an independent spirit or mind? The technological singularity event has been referenced in a lot of pop culture some other examples that come to mind are the Terminator, Total Annihilation C.C(Game), The Matrix. Why would the intelligence have to be Artificial? Basis of Faith(Freewill/Creation?) + Meaning and virtue(dependent on other people and on Individual Sovereignty): Yes there is something unique about faith and the conscious mind. The ability to construct possibilities, the act of creation. Instead of Charity and Hope; Compassion is a better word, I think. "I see faith and intuition as the same quality/essence and interchangable linguistically. This substance subdivides into consistency, computation, evidence. All moral principles of power (efficacy based on virtue)" Sounds reasonable. Schopenhauer: Maybe the quote might be accurate in so far as it refers to the physical body of man as a "machine" and as far as he is unconscious and therefore not a man. To will to infinite recursion, I guess would be kind of boring. Imo it is not so much a question of conscientiously willing but in the expression of creativity. Perhaps calmness of mind is necessary to express; freewill, creativity, faith to the fullest. Mostly intuitive(Above Paragraphs), another thing that comes to mind is the distinction between dualism and Neutral Monism they basically look almost identical.

Stefan is not trying to make Evil people good that would be violating individual agency.
-
The Schopenhauer quote might actually be "Man can do what he wills but he cannot will what he wills." "Subtle" changes in language make all the difference.

Quite a bit of information HasMat. Took a while to have a look through and attempt to comprehend, but makes sense with a few questions. How did you come up with the information in your post? Like the video game Mass Effect? I never played the 3rd one. Would morality and Ethics have existed prior to the invention of a God? Would the original timestream just create because they can? Sounds plausible. I've watched that version of the "Time Machine" as well, reading through the original recently. Backward causality. Invention of God(Singularity)? In which case wouldn't the universe have been monist at one point? Let there be light as you said. Would this preclude the possibility for multiple Gods? What is the basis of faith? Like the Mirror from The Matrix. I think the last paragraph is very good. Is that what Schopenhauer perhaps meant by "Man can do what he wants, but he cannot will what he wills". I remember Stefan calling his philosophy crap in a Youtube video once. Though Nietzsche seemed to think he was on to something. Ace post, was wondering what to read on the nature of being. A quote from Nietzsche came up while I was looking. "To impose on becoming the character of being - that is the supreme will to power." Probably will listen to Will to Power on Youtube. As for Quantum Mechanics will probably give that a miss for now, no idea where to start. Looking more at a psychological "Edge", with a metaphysical basis.

A Clockwork Orange.

Seen a few people post on the forum from Texas and I figured if there was going to be an American state with people with similar philosophical positions to FDR it would be that state or one of the southern ones. I mean there is Alex Jones and Ron Paul in the State and I think the culture in some parts might be more liberty minded. I found that by looking at Austrian Economics(Laisse Faire) that often links to other people along a similar vein come up. Tried to look for a Marxian "equivalent" of FDR or Mises.org and other then a few ad-hoc think tanks, its not out there imo.

All thinking is positive, even when it is negative. Positive affirmations "Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh my!" Trophy hunting. New Zealand Haka as an example, perhaps. Negative affirmations. Maybe someone has a few ideas?

Alone, then the Unconscious or Subconscious would be oxymorons. I think the distinction being on how the mind functions together with the conscious, that is not within our direct conscious perception, but can be inferred indirectly through other peoples behaviour. A thought experiment: A man walks into a Shopping Mall, after looking around for an hour he goes to eat at the Food Court. Now did he decide consciously after an hour, or did he decide to go to eat at the food court unconsciously when he came into the Mall, perhaps influenced with the smell of food? maybe he has become accustomed to it, so he's not even conscious of the smell.

"Going out on a limb" but could trees have cognition? I mean in the Bible there is the tree of knowledge. Plus trees often form very large networks. I guess they would be lacking a CNS, but then again you have fly traps, so maybe there's something to the idea. Maybe trees might have some capacity for cognition just very slow or spread out rhythm. Plus the movie Avatar..... In terms of cognition trees react to climate, go dormant. If their grazed it can keep them in juvenile state. They also store information in their seeds. If one tree goes dormant maybe they get effected quicker, like bananas ripening. If there's fire it can help with the plants life cycle, perhaps trigger the release of certain hormones.

Is there an unconscious mind? Perhaps making decisions in the background, maybe even with plans of its/their own, constructive and destructive. In which case what is really you? Subject to perhaps subliminal messaging. Freudian. Or is there a subconscious mind? That contains your Values, Ethics, innate ability and the "muscle power"/perseverance built up over hard-work, number crunching and performing tasks of skill. Master of your Destiny, Atlas holding up the World, or at least a part. Randian or compatible with the Christian idea of a soul.

Could Monism or "one substance" be a get out of jail free card? If that is the nature of being, doesn't it effectively destroy the concept of Ethics, makes everything predetermined. Unless God switched off God-mode, and became the "Messiah". In which case aren't people splitting the concept of a one god anyway? Zeus/Jupiter/Aten/Ra/Helios/Krishna/Woden/God, Micheal/Horus/Jesus/Apollo/Thor/Muhammed/Zarathustra, Gabriel/Kali/Loki/Nemesis/Djinn etc...... Wouldn't a multitude of Gods be more fun as with Dualism potentially? Anyone see the STTNG episode with Worf returning from a Bat'leth tournament, where he is split between alternate realities, but his mind is always in the same place? Why "Right Being"? why not "Right Action"/becoming?

I know not Germany, but according to a Bloomberg article "The Most Closed-Off Nordic Nation Is Yearning for Immigrants."(Denmark) In the article it talks about "Danish data show the fiscal benefits of employing foreigners". The actual data shows the opposite in the same article, the only thing that doesn't is a chart they made up. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-04-20/scandinavia-s-most-closed-off-nation-is-now-yearning-for-immigrants I heard the Norwegian postal service was paying people under the table and providing accommodation to illegal workers a while a go, probably similar stories in other countries. Many migrants are probably going to speak English or French, if they even have a second language at all.

Curious to see what countries/regions people are based in. Maybe might be a way of sharing information between members Economic, Political, Philosophical, Current events, Local societies etc. I know there's Facebook and Meetup, occasionally see members asking if people live in their area. Don't think I've read posts from any members from France. Seen a few posts of people from the Germanic and Scandinavian countries, Texas comes up a bit maybe with the Ron Paul Libertarian awareness, Lone Star State. I missed out certain regions like Southern Europe, S America, Asia, Ireland, Switzerland, Wales etc as in IMHO probably not having too many listeners or heading for the cliff.

Stefan isn't against immigration, he even said he emigrated from the UK. What he doesn't agree with is people being threatened into paying towards welfare programs for migrants when they don't wish to, he isn't against charity. I thought UPB was a fair book as a methodology for Ethics, it's quite short. If you have an alternative book about Ethics or its refutation, I'm open to have a look. On Youtube at least imo Stefan is the most able person to show truths(even ones that maybe uncomfortable) that may help avoid immense suffering, though if you know someone better please tell. As a side note I've visited BC and Alberta as a backpacker a while a go. Haven't looked much into Daoism so far, kind of makes some sense after listening to some work and information on and of Carl Jung. To be honest I've never felt connected to anyone, not even myself.
