Chris Cantwell vs Stefan Molyneux debate?
PatrickC replied to Formelyknown's topic in Current Events
I wasn't suggesting a debate. I would just be interested to hear more around Chris's recent enlightenment that was all. After all, he has said Stefan was a huge part of that realisation. Seems fitting I thought. -

I'd still like to see a conversation between them. He's had some interesting enlightenment regarding male disposibility recently. I'd be interested to hear Stefan tease that journey out of him. -
Interesting lady, thanks for sharing Kevin. I thought her criticisms of Porcfest were spot on regarding the organised chaos it always seemed for me, even from afar. I imagine she might have enjoyed a conference like Liberty far more, which is probably of a higher calibre all round.

Thoughts on entheogenic substances? + Story time!
PatrickC replied to NeoCortex's topic in Self Knowledge
It's important to remind people of these dangers frankly. I have some fair experience in this area. I agree drugs rarely kill people and addiction is rare. But they can cause people to lose their minds. Sometimes this is short lived, other times it is long term and often irrepairable. I took shrooms and payote for almost a decade. Frankly all I recall from that experience was pretty rainbows. Any insight I got was mostly wishful thinking and the horrors were far from pleasent or useful to me or those I saw experience similar. I'm sorry if my protest bothers you, but I think it needs to be re-iterated for those that might be thinking of using it. -

There was a reason why LSD takers feared the 'Flashback'. This was a essentially a renactment of a terrifying experience. Some people never returned to their senses ever again. Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd being a case in point. So you take it at your own risk. -
Yes, it always had me stumped at the sheer heights the crime of rape has been placed in the minds of feminists. Even beyond murder or torture that eventaully ends in death are sometimes considered as lesser crimes by comparison. I now think this is just a biological reaction to the possibilty of raising the children of a man who wont be providing any resources for you and whose genes you never wanted your children to be a part of. By the way, I'm very sorry to hear about the assault that happened to you Matsisyra and welcome to the boards.

Game of Thrones only written by men? SEXISM!
PatrickC replied to Pleiades's topic in Men's Issues, Feminism and Gender
I guess we need an all womens short list for writers. But wait, that can't be done because the publishing industry relies on a meritocracy and the market gets to decide which writers become the most successful. Time to put those superior multitasking skills to hand ladies. -

That's great news to hear about your mother taking things seriously. If you are on FaceBook, you might want to join this FDR Europe group perhaps. Just so you know, I did also post your thread to that group. All the best with meeting folk. https://www.facebook.com/groups/FDR.Europe/

Yes, whilst I applaud the fight against child pornography and paedophilia. It comes as no surprise that the state is now taking children to task on this issue and demonstrating how little they understand about the topic. It seems much less about discovering real child abuse and much more about throwing as many people under the bus called justice, as a means to asuage people's conscience regarding real child abuse.

This is why this 'gender is a social construct' argument falls flat on its face. All gender has ever meant was to describe characteristics that men and women share with their own gender. People shame people not because of gender, but because horrible people shame people. I don't see what there is to dislike about such a word. I means it's hardly like the word 'bossy' which at least holds some derogatory definition of sorts. Gender is just a neutral describing word. Being a man is much more than just his penis and vice versa women are more than just their vagina's. This is what the term attempts to encapsulate. It can only be the sweeping cultural Marxism that has infected much of the West's thinking of late that can find themselves offended by such dictionary terms. Because outliers exist, we therefore have a perfectly reasonable terms for them called transgender, homosexual, bisexual or lesbian. Attempting to dismantle the meaning of a word because it is felt to be used for shaming purposes. Would see the dismantlement of all manner of other words. Oh wait, where have we seen that before?

What has this video got to do with the topic in hand. If you think this adds to the milk of human kindness, then please explain yourself.

You don't owe anyone honesty, but expect those relationships that you do lie too, to take a nose dive whether intended or not.

Art will finally begin to emulate a healthy mind and start reflecting some of the beauty that exists in the world. The myth of the great artist as a tortured mind will finally be dispelled.
