  1. Paraphrasing Stefan Molyneux - "Love is our involuntary reaction to virtue if we are virtuous ourselves." - Similarly to the Dunning-Kruger effect, I believe smart & virtuous (more the later + its anti-___, too) can recognise on 'sight' what's really valuable. There's a big set of 'sharable' objectives, many-many possible points of probable connectivity, potential for learning from each other ... why focus on the diametrically opposing, the 'dead-ends'? Why not just be honest and provide/ask for the best, be helpful and not destructive/offensive, be grateful for what's good? It's like, 'My dentist is magnificent, the best in the trade. However, lately have been considering looking for another because I found out he is about to divorce his third wife and has 3 kids. I don't think I can see him again with clear conscience.' (additionally - I'm no advocate of utilitarianism)
  2. Listen to the podcast - (I'm referring to Q1) [...] Question 1: [2:42] – “Over the years in my short lifetime, I have begun to see the truth in how the bigger a government gets, the more injustice and oppression occurs. I have put a lot of thought into ways in which we can decentralize national/federal governments and one of the solutions I keep coming back to is a form of direct democracy that uses our current IT technology in place of the ancient Greek forums to replace the executive branches of government. Bureaucratic institutions would obviously still need qualified individuals heading them, so for them I would propose breaking them down into 'crown corporations' that act independently with elected officials at the helm. What are your thoughts on a system like this?” [...] Why this caller? (What was the value of the call?) I'm puzzled. (Sorry, I just don't see the point in, why this caller made it into the videos...Am I missing something?) It was cringing to listen, as the caller was unprepared (He didn't check out Stefan's arguments on the freemarket, was missing the supportive evidence for the ideas/claims he had, <-> seeeeveral podcasts by Stefan had already had maaaany superior arguments against centralised governance, even debates especially reminiscent the Peter Joseph 'word-salad tour' Venus project 'argument') and what seemed to me, he didn't show any 'constructive' curiosity or flexibility to try being the devil's advocate so that he could 'catch up to speed' in the convo. Almost as if none of the ideas were coming from him. i. e. : " Most people are good and they don't really want to do bad things. " Given the vast majority of human history consisting of nothing but viscous murderfests, compared to the tiny slice in recent history where that wasn't the case as much (~ 50 000 : 1 ) ... Um... Maybe, the caller' s assessment (besides the several planned economy topics mentioned... ) is on the 'definitively-total-misconception of historical facts' side. History isn't my strongest area but even I get it... -> wars? death tolls? mass-graves? painstakingly slow adaptation of long established philosophical arguments, some even being erased as we speak (NewSpeak) ? I know it's a hard one to get (looking in the mirror) , but humans have not yet evolved morally to be capable of consistently maintaining sustainable/universal moral standards... it's not yet part of humanity, nevertheless some groups of us are trying(?). Which, in my opinion means, more maintenance and reinforcement is required IF the updating of moral standards was a preferable asset to the specie. Maybe not(?) , I can't tell but on a small scale that's what I see/have concluded. I'm an individual. Certainly seems like it should (hence my preference for using UPB), as stagnation and endless-repetitive cycles are by logic, a less preferable direction to keep heading... even to an individual. As in: What's life's purpose, what is the most beneficial attitude to existing? ( ° 42? ) ° Mere survival at a sustainable enough level? (outsourced decision making) or ° 'Conscious-in-the-present&remembering-the-past' existence in the gradually decreasing / increasing unknown? (updating, evolving) I'm for the later. (me thinks)

  7. Hi @Add984 What do you think about this: Emotions can be changed by truths but not the other way around, therefore the most utility emotions have is to reveal our relationship to truths. (truths as in objective standards)

  9. Hi @admin I think the "last day won" is broken, the least it's more inaccurate now with people appearing tho not having posted any for a year or so. Glitches, happens all the time. What if it got disabled? E:dit - Funny, (ironically) due to having received 2 down votes, I earned an additional 'day won'.

    Studing

Good question! The most telling (to me) is when someone does something, even if it isn't funded by 'easy-looking cash', coerced money taken from future generations. (Are you sure you aren't justifying it, only?) Remember, if you do choose to sign up, you'll also have to accept what the state requires of you in return. You'll have to earn your 'state-brownie-points' for your degree. There's nothing for free in this world, all the tax you'll ever pay doesn't even begin to come near to the opportunity cost you'll be trading in for it. (while you spend your time in academia, others earn experience/toughen up and get several times better in the real world, outside the bubble of 'regulated-think') Maybe I'm wrong but it does sound, you're looking for an easy path forward, a pre-paid, secure academic 'taxi-ride' to the future. Which in my humble opinion doesn't exist but you have to create it yourself. (I'm not blaming or anything) On a second note, having a wide range of interests is more trouble than a blessing. To me it speaks of indecision, lack of self-knowledge. I'd work on that. (if I am correct) While aiming at a skill that's going to be transferable and allows for adaptation should your circumstances change; got to know yourself better. Finally, automatisation is rapidly catching up, scroogle just boasted how it can mimic a real person conversing MEANINGFULLY, INDISTINGUISHABLY. Can't tell where it'll be in 5 yrs but I guess it'll only get more intrusive and favoured by governments.
  15. It's what happens when people don't think, choose not to ask questions and settle for the illusory comfort of mainstream thinking (I have seen it affect the highly intelligent as well, the reason isn't to do with cognitive capabilities. Fully agree therefore with 'People don't have ideas; ideas have people!' ) What's even more effective about propaganda is how it's always designed to circumvent logic/first principles and gain the emotional support first, downplay the seriousness of the despicable content. After which... The gates are open, so that demons can stroll casually inside, without the guards even being capable seeing them as any resemblance of threat... If there was more peaceful parenting happening, none of this 'black sut' would prevail, susceptibility would decrease. People who currently think they walked the path of righteousness would at least check if the cobblestones they threaded on resembled skulls. But until more people looked down at their feet, until more people asked 'How do I know, what I claim to know...'

  19. It can become reality within less than a month : Oi! Have you got license for that link?! I don't remember you having paid tax on that!!! NewSpeak anyone? ° Watch Dave Cullen' s video #DeleteArt13 PETITION : ° Saving the Internet, or not. sources: ° article 2 ° article 3 It's telling, how again, major legislation is being prepared to be rolled out in a nick of time, especially as summer is approaching... While it seems it's designed to remove certain opinions coming from Europe, it IS going to affect virtually and in real, everyone, though only negatively if you are for free-speech. p.s. (They left the EU 'on', would someone be so kind and 'turn it off', please?)

What an awesome conversation, it's clearly audible Stefan worked 'his ass off' to provide value in the conversation, her efforts in being in the true dialogue made for a very unique listen! Call in shows such as this one are essential! I'm just going to say that, no humility, just state that! Very good combination of connectivity and visibility, integrity demonstrated! (... wow!) 23. I see. Where can I read it for myself? The Independent doesn't quote what surmounted to it. I can't find any specific information anywhere else on what did they actually use against him/(made him) admit to... y'know, today's world,... definitions can shape-shift with ease, especially in the MSM.
